Ebay Buyers from Abroad

Hi, I was hoping someone could help me here. I have used ebay to buy and sell regularly over the years and am quite confident.
However, my parents had a clearout and I have put up for sale a microflex camera. The starting bid is £99.99 and I saw a similar one sold for over £200 a few months back.
I have had a few potential buyer asking if I would post abroad (Hong Kong, America). They are happy to pay the extra postage obviously.

I am just slightly nervous and don't know whether I should be or not! I have heard of people receiving goods then complaining they are broken or not as described and the sellers lose out because they have to pay back and may end up without the item. It seems more risky sending it abroad and it is quite a high value item.

Am I just being silly?? If so I can pop down the post office and find out the extra postage charges.
I only want it to go to a good home as it was my Grandad's and was very well cared for, sentimental I suppose but we can't keep everything!

Thanks in advance.

ETA I have taken a look at feedback from the buyers and they are 100% positive and mainly from cameras and accessories so that puts my mind at ease a bit!

As long as you send it fully insured and properly tracked with an online signature, You may get more for it.

Make sure you quote correct prices. Posting it to the US for 99p will leave you out of pocket.

Only accept paypal. Only send to the paypal verified address.

Only add buyers that have good feedback and are not new members.

Op check out the sticky postage thread.

If it sells for under £150 you don't need a signature. And verified addresses are no longer relevant. The PayPal transaction will say if it's OK to send or not. Either way, it is the address on the Paypal payment that counts, verified or not.

The OK to send is for the seller not the buyer so as a buyer you don't need to look for anything.

For the seller though the OK to send box is on every single paypal transaction, and on the emails they send. There is also the warning about what you need to do for full seller protection
