Cycle Helmet Liner

Another vote for a buff.
They are surprisingly warm, and I've used them for precisely this purpose in previous winters.0 -
Is a buff the new name for a snood? (Showing my age!)0

Last year at times I was wearing a thin wooley hat and a balaclava.
When it warmed up I wore 2 buffs, one on neck and one on head etc, there is no right and wrong, layers give lots of options. Just make sre you keep adjusting your helmet strap each time, dont want it too tight, or more importantly too loose.
A buff is a long cotton tube that with a bit of wrapping and twisting you can wear in multiple different ways, from neck-chief to beanie hat to face cover etc. Buff is the brand, many cheaper alternatives out there.0 -

So much more than a snood then, according to that demo!0

A waterproof helmet cover also stops icy blasts from getting through the helmet vents - quite toasty! This is the one I've got (in bright dayglo yellow), and once I sorted which way round to fit it (!!!), it goes over the peak as well.Favours are returned ... Trust is earned

I wear a balaclava to cycle, and earmuffs on top. I do get funny looks and children have ocassionally shouted 'Taliban!' at me though. I'm not sure now many Taliban members wear earmuffs, have metre long blonde hair sticking out from under balaclavas, and cycle around Germany, but I guess it must be common.0
