Help with Ebookers website pls!

can anyone help me with a problem I have been having with Ebookers website?

For days now, when I slect the 'hotel & flight' that I want I get the message :-

Error

We are unable to reserve the package selected by you at this stage - please select a different package from the results page or please try again after few minutes.
______________________________

and just can't get any further.

I have tried on 3 different computers (thinking it was a problem with mine eg cookies etc even though I have removed them!) Tried lots of different hotel and flight options etc...to no avail.

I tried phoning them and they could / wouldn't explain what the problem was and when they requoted me the same 'hotel & flight' over the phone it was about £100 more per person?!?! I emailed them also and had no reply?!

The prices are chaning with the days which I would expect due to the 'live' and 'active' nature of their way of operation....so as far as that goes I think it is OK?

Has anyone else had problems?

I have not used ebookers before........are they OK......sadly, even though they are offfering great deals I am loosing confidence with them.

I know this doesn't help you, but you're not alone, I've had the same problem for the last two days.

I think the problem is that the attractive prices they show you are not available. There are plenty of other sites offering similar packages: check out Expedia, Travelocity, Opodo, and even lastminute. (Lastminute and ebookers are the same company, and if you care about customer service don't touch either with a barge-pole).

No they are not!!!!! Ebookers is owned by Cendant (who own Galileo). Lastminute is owned by Sabre. SO in effect two competing CRS's.

But you are right, they both offer DIRE customer service.

Yes I think I will maybe give ebookers a wide berth! Lastminute come up with a similar price....but sounds they might be just as bad!?!

I had a look at Expedia and Opodo, but suprising they were much more expensive for the same flight and hotel.

So the decision.........better customer care more dosh...lousy customer care....cheaper?!?! Arggh......can't decide!
