Hi I would like to move my TV across the room but the lead from the Sky dish to the box is to short. It's a Sky + box.
Anyone know if you can extend these leads? and if you can what is the lead called?
Thank you

You can extend the cables if you're handy. You'd need the correct length of cable and the relevant connectors. I believe (and someone correct me if I'm wrong) it's satellite version of co-ax cable.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0 -
yep it is and it's pretty easy to do.
A length of satellite quality coax and F connectors (think that's what they're known as). You cut the coax to length, cut off the outer (black) sheilding, then cut off the inner white shielding so you're left with the copper poking through. Then you stick that through the end connector (at each end) and twist it on so it doesn't fall of and attach a joining connector where you're connecting the two ends together.
If you're near Preston i've got loads of coax spare
it is very easy to do, a Google of f connector http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=f+connectors&safe=active&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=1430&bih=281&sei=DI_TTsbgBoq38gO5sKG1Dg shows you the end piece so you can work out what needs to be done from them and looking at your existing cable.0
