Hello,
I was just wondering if there is anyway my mum can get her money back from Anglo-Irish Bank. She hasn't done anything about claiming for the money she invested with them because she doesn't think she will get it back.
I'm not entirely sure if she had savings or shares with them.
If you have any ideas how she can get all her savings back I'd appreciate your help.

I think we need a little more information.
Why has the Anglo-Irish Bank got your mothers money - a savings account, investment? Which one?
If its just a savings account she goes into a branch and withdraws the money. What is the real problem??0 -
I will double check with her where it was she had her money, savings or shares.
She had invested with them before they were nationalised and I don't think the UK Government protected investments made with Anglo-Irish Bank after they were nationalised...
Let me email my mum and find out a bit more about it) thank you for replying! Hopefully you'll be able to help me more when I have some more info!

No savings have been lost, the bank has changed names but the savings accounts are all still there, just make an instruction to withdraw.
If she had Anglo Irish Bank PLC shares then they are toast.0 -
I fear it's the latter in that case. All of my mum's life savings. I will double check.0
