EGG positive balance and BT on app form

Just filling out a capital one 18 month application. It alows you to request a BT on the form. I was going to BT a positive balance to EGG.
My concern is when they do credit search, they may be able to see I owe nothing to EGG - is this correct?? In which case I'd better use another card to BT to...

You could just wait to get the card (and knowledge of the limit) before doing a balance transfer?0

Surely the BT part of the app form is to transfer an amount FROM another card though?0

Credit report unlikely to be right up to date - so, for all they know, you might have a debt on Egg.0
