Natwest Credit Card PPI

Having read about the PPI and i checked my credit card statements - wasn't sure, until i phoned natwest to asked what does payment protection do for? When they said its was PPI, after i found more information about it and I realised Im still paying for the PPI and I have been out of work for more than 5 years. I can't remember if i had phone to let them know i was out of work due to medical health grounds but I am sure I did phoned them to let them know but im still paying it and had no helps. I can't seem to find my application for natwest card form copy/policy (but i have card protection policy which i cancelled in Dec 2008 - this is not the same one?).
Looking back to my first statement which was Dec 2004, there was nothing about PPI - only 'credit card repayment protector'? then in January 2005 - start of 'Payment protection' every months - is that the same thing? As my credit limit is at £475 so i have been paying small amount of PPI (at moment is £3.95 a month).
I will be cancelling it soon as it had not help me at all but i wanted some advice first before i stop. Do i have the right to claim it back and what will it owed me? And how long can it go back to? from the start?
many thanks for your time to read and grateful for advices.

Look here for reasons for mis sell
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#step2
If any/all apply to you then put a claim in,the credit card number is the account number, give the bank a ring and ask to cancel this insurance, they may do the mis sell over the phone when you ring, they usually only go back 6 years but if you have statements to show ppi being paid before this then send them copies of these,it would be guess work at what you may get back,so see if you have a win.
