Can I claim back price cut?

I remember reading somewhere (hopefully!) that it is possible to claim back cash from credit cards if an item bought is subsequently reduced in price in the next 30 days. Does anyone know if that is the case. Thanks

Its still there on the barclaycard Ts & Cs for Egg customers that have transferred.PRICE PROMISE
This insurance provides cover for eligible purchases made with
your Barclaycard World MasterCard subject to the terms,
conditions and limitations shown in the policy. Price Promise
covers most purchases of new, personal items that you buy from
any store in the United Kingdom.
If you buy an item with your Barclaycard World MasterCard and
then find the same item for sale at a cheaper price at any retail
store within a thirty (30) mile radius then we will refund the
diTerence. You must discover the cheaper price within thirty (30)
days from the date of purchase. The item must be exactly the
same make, model and specification.

Covered Purchases do not include: 1) boats; 2) motorised vehicles
(including but not limited to aeroplanes, automobiles, trailers,
caravans or any towed items and motorcycles) or their motors,
equipment and accessories (including but not limited to
communication devices intended solely for use in the vehicle);
3) land or buildings (including but not limited to homes and
dwellings); 4) travellers cheques, tickets of any kind, negotiable
instruments, deposits or down-payments of any kind, bullion,
rare or precious coins, cash or its equivalent; 5) plants or animals;
6) consumables and perishables; 7) items which the Eligible
Person damages through alteration (including cutting, sawing or
shaping); 8) services (including but not limited to the performance
or rendering of labour or maintenance, repair or installation of
products, goods, property or professional advices of any kind);
9) travel tickets, holidays, car hire or flight bookings; or 10) items
of jewellery.
Additionally cover will not include claims relating to:
1. specific sales and promotions;
2. any staT related discounts;
3. purchases made outside a thirty (30) mile radius;
4. purchases not bought for the customers’ own personal use;
5. internet purchases.
