Getting from Manchester-Norwich

Hi, not sure if anyone can suggest any better way of getting from Manchester to Norwich.
need to go on fri 16th feb returning monday 19th flexible on times.
train direct-£78.80 return, 2 singles £48!!!-not bad i know BUT the train journey is sooooooooooo long and tedious!!:mad:
Flybe do a flight but as it's only 2 weeks away it is now £92 and i can't really justify the cost despite it saving about 6 hours!!:j

Can anyone find a cheap/fairly speedy way of doing this?? This is one of those time a car would be very handy!!

I know this goes against the ethos of the site but take my advice and fly. I used to live in Norwich and regularly had to travel to Manchester and the flights were great. Unless you travel laden with food at some time you will be tempted to partake of the buffet and dont forget the cost of the books and magazines you won't need to while away 6 hours. Dont forget that the 'cost saving' will cost you twelve hours of your time when you could be enjoying yourself
