EDF end of Energy saver 7...

..got the letter a few weeks ago now, they're moving me to standard tariff from Jan 1st so I'm shopping around again - most likely to SP with cash back tied in until 2013.
My EDF contract ends on 31st December, when should I look to put the wheels in motion for the move? I don't want to risk getting stung with termination fees.
