Wind up teddy bear repair??

Hi all i have searched the net for someone to repair a prized possession, a merrythought wind up bear. It has been over wound carelessly and i would very much l;ike to find someone to repair it as it was my wife's as a child and she now wishes to give it to our baby daughter. Any thoughts or does anyone know of someone who can do this?? Any comments very greatly appreciated.?

If it's just the spring, maybe a clock repairer?

The problem is that the spring is inside the bear and it is very well stitched up and would want it being the same once repaired thats why i asked specifically for bear repair butyou never know maybe a seamstress ets and clock repairer may be the way forward!

They might be able to point you in the direction of someone who could help.

I was driving past yesterday and there's a big "For Sale" notice up, but I think it's still open for business. Although they don't specialise in clockwork repairs, they'll probably know who does.
