  • A kettle will use around 3kWh and will probably only be on for 60-90 secs depending on the amount of water,
    Utter nonsense.

Do they have an imersian heater (sorry spelt wrong)
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • immersion heater :) just being helpful I get them moments too sometimes

I meant 3kWh if it was on for an hour it uses 3kWh but obviously dont use it for an hour I did try to correct that but you obviously missed that part

You obviously have selective vision either that or get some glasses never mind glad I dont have you as a heating engineer if you miss things

I should have made my post clearly it will only use 3kWh if it was on for one whole hour as its only on for a minute or two it will use a lot less it would depend on about of water usually kettles use 3kWh

  • Is there any advice you like to give to the Op or are you too busy trying to troll?

Only sensible advice for such minute items of use, is not to worry about it.
It is not something you are likely to work out as a diy-er, and calling in a pro will cost more than any savings you can make in a decade, IF there are savings to be made. Plenty of things that take tiny bits of current and are supposed to do that, so quite possible that all the effort results in no savings at all.
Besides 10 Watt equals around 15p per week or less than a tenner per year, IF it indeed is a continuous use of 10 Watt which remains to be seen. Dozens of ways to raise your household income by more than a tenner per year with less effort.
