Post Office Online Saver Issue 4 - Payments In

Options
I opened one of these accounts in July of this year and have been in the habit of making payments in using Barclays Internet Banking via a transfer using the P.O. Sort Code and Account number. Just had a payment in bounced twice with a message that the sort code and/or account number are not recognised. Looks like they are now enforcing the T&C's which say that you have to pay in via a DD request they make to the nominated account, or a debit card drawn on the nominated account or a regular DD, in all cases via their website. Bit of a nuisance, really, but seems par for the course where 'banks' are concerned nowadays.

I have one of their accounts - issue 1. I make payments into it by going through the 'pay in money' option on the PO account rather than sending them from my bank. Does issue 4 have this option?

Sorry. Just realised you mentioned this is your post. That will teach me to try doing 3 things at once!
