  • Mumto5 - only now catching up with the thread - I saw your post about your DS and I just want you to know that everyone is thinking of you! My DS is nowhere as bad as yours but he IS the cause of all my grey hairs. Hopefully he will mature a bit in a different environment.....

You have done the right thing for you and the other members of your family!

I hope you feel better soon..

    Morning all

Finally finished mopping up the condensation. Just having a cuppa and some apple cake for breakfast (well it is Friday) and then off out on a round trip of various errands, none exciting but I do pass a garden centre and I do need a pot so I'll pop in.

Friend coming later for a cuppa and cake and then I have orthotics fitting for DS2 and DS3 later today.

Mudders - it will not hurt being put on but it may ache for 48 hours later so give her your choice of pain releif either before or after the appointment. They usually want something softish to eat (not red coloured so no pasta sauce or tomato soup for the first day). She will be fine and after that I am sure. Each time they adjust it after that mine said it ached until after that night's sleep and then they were always fine.

Dancemum hugs for you and hope the appointments go well.

Just going to set the WM and close up all the windows before I go out.

  • Well, Minion came in to announce that they had decided to hold parents' evening tonight. Pity they never told anyone outside the staffroom.

    Are you sure??

It is directed time, though, which means that teachers cannot pick and choose whether they do it (unless they are part time when it's a bit more complicated).

Lamewolf think you are right about giving DH other jobs.

valli are you sure that's the only way??!!

    Mornin' all.
    Hoppy Birdday to embb's DS1:bdaycake:
I'm really glad I'm ahead with today's list almost done. Mr LW has said he'll clean the bedroom lampshade when he gets home at lunchtime:D; it'll only take him a couple of minutes and eliminates the possibility of me breaking my neck falling off the bed which I have to stand on to reach said lampshade.:A

We're going to attempt to colour my hair this afternoon, as I currently look like a red-and-white badger.:D Could prove interesting, as I can't raise my left arm at all today, but I'm sure we'll manage. I think there may be a bottle of wine squirrelled away in the spare room that'll make the procedure less onerous.;)

I'll try and stay up to scratch with the thread; but if you don't see me before next Wednesday, please don't worry, as Mr LW's off til then, and we have other things to do.;););):D

Dusty - thank you for your comments about DD's brace. My DH is taking her so i've put the calpol out for him to give her. She had a 'last supper' of dough balls, deep crust pizza and chewy mints last night! We made a party of it.

Just back from the trafford centre - managed to get away with only 30 minutes in there and all my shopping done so that was a result.

Going to have an early lunch, walk the dog again and then do some tidying.

    xx

Just nipping back in to send posi-vibes to Miss Mudbath. It'll be worth a little discomfort now, to have nice teeth at the end of it all, I'm certain.:o

    Afternoon all

Cold and dull (they promised sun until lunchtime), washing sulking on the line. I've vacuumed through downstairs. My Harry Potter boxset has been delivered. Not much else going on.

It's actually raining now, so washing in and draped round everywhere. Again.
