Moneysaving Wedding

We were mega cheap...I dreaded the idea of fuss!!
I made my own invites from items I had around the house, printed bits on the inside on nice colored paper.

Married in a registry office (with hardly anyone there...walking down the aisle is my idea of a nightmare!!), my Mam made my dress, shoes were ones I owned anyway, the ring was my grandmothers, my husband didn't want a ring, no fancy car, went in the normal car, no bridesmaids or anything, so mega savings there! A friend did the photographs.

The party was at my mothers house! We paid for food and drink and my mothers friends set up the buffet while we were getting married.

The only thing I did was get my hair cut (it needed it anyway so just arranged for it the day before the wedding!) and buy the cake/flowers, I would have made it myself but my Mother was insistent that she pay for at least 1 thing!

All in all I think we spent around £500! And it could have been cheaper.

Not everyone's idea of a wedding by a long shot, but it was perfect for us. It was also very low stress and was arranged within 3 weeks.
