Which banks are linked?

Options
Hi

Does anyone know which banks are linked together, I need to open a new bank account before I go on a DMP but I don't want to open one that is linked to any of my creditors (Natwest, Co-op, MBNA, Opus, Santander, Barclaycard)

I'm new to all this so any advice appreciated :)

    Hsbc do a basic bank account or have a look at this pdf list of basic bank accounts
    click here
    A basic bank would be right for you as I doubt you will able to open another normal bank account

    You'll be safe with a basic account with the following major banks;

    Lloyds / Bank of Scotland
    Halifax
    Nationwide
    HSBC
    ..and no doubt a number of building societies.

    Possibly avoid Lloyds TSB as such, because the Co-op is currently negotiating to buy a third of its branches, including the customers. This doesn't affect Halifax and Bank of Scotland.

    MBNA is also up for sale, but the buyer is unlikely to be any of the High Street banks, except possibly Barclays.
