Well I really doubt us on MSE will have so much luck getting vouchers from emailing companies anymore! Quite a popular activity on the freebie board (done it myself a few times i do love to share my opinions
), but seeing as everyone will be giving it a go now I doubt they'll be so happy to give vouchers out left right and centre

I didn't like the program
I accept that is how some people like to live, but apart from the couple with the young boy...it's really not for me!
The wedding was definitely them, but certainly not what I would have wanted for my big day (and I didn't get into debt for mine either!)
Couldn't possibly consider eating microwave burgers or many of the food items that came with the vouchers
The couple using the phone to check their shopping was good (and something I do myself!)
Each to their own I guess but not for me0 -
Did you not like the couple who did their own wedding?
I agree with you about the burgers, and buying stuff you don't like just because it's free.
I think I'd rather eat roadkill than micro burgers
ps, squirrel really is delicious(Hubby shoots it)

The road kill didn't make me squirm at all - it was all very ecological. I don't think I'll be doing it though!0

It was okay, it does inspire you to do more though.
I liked the young family best, I agreed when he said that some peeps watch the TV (me) for an hour at night, when he spends time on My Supermarket.
I think I shall be making use of offers that I regularly buy, such as bacon at 2.45'ish or 2 for 4.00 for instance. I find bacon very useful for flavouring other things, so its something I would use.
I do check out the price per kg for cheese etc already, so its good to see someone else do the same.0 -

I'm a veggie - and I'd rather eat roadkill than the microwave burgers  though I think he was a little in his own world on how much he thinks the meat was worth and how much he would spend on meat in a week
It was their wedding but £35 on drinks which equaled 35 bottles of soft drinks isn't for me! I liked the champagne we toasted our wedding with!0 -
Didn't care for the voucher lady. Don't see the point in making your family eat rubbishy food that they don't really like. And as for being so obviously reluctant to make a contribution to the charity lunch, that's meaness, not thrift. I thought she might have not taken all of the £15 she spent on food, but no, she reclaimed that.
Roadkill. I don't think so. (sick noises off stage)
Thought the wedding was good. It was special to them and that's what it's all about.
Loved the couple with the little boy. They had a sense of humour and their priorities were sensible.
Is this a series or was that a one off?I believe that friends are quiet angels

I've just caught the last half of it on 4+1. I couldn't quite understand how the last woman was able to use so many coupons - she must have handed over at least 15. I've only ever used an odd coupon but was pretty sure Mr T in our area only allow a handful (possibly 5) maximum. I can't help but think she's just drawn attention to things and Mr T will be clamping down on those areas where the policy wasn't enforced.
I did also think her comments about the charity lunch was beyond stingy.
I did like the couple with the little boy and whilst the wedding was a bit spartan for me I have to give credit to the couple concerned. It was their day and as long as they were happy that's all that mattered.0 -
I really like the wedding couple, they remind me of my family! We're lucky enough to have dress makers, a florist, a photographer, trainee camera man, cake decorator and lots of enthusiasm in the family. So we can do a lovely wedding for under a grand easy peasy
And most receptions are at the legion. The exception is the last one which was my cousin's and was really big and beautiful, they shelled out £40k on it
In all honesty, I wouldn't say no to some of that road kill I'd love to go to dinner at his house. Anyone else think it looks quite tasty?Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0
