I've just bought a Logitech webcam from Amazon and on completion of the transaction, it stated WER Occident Packaging. I've searched on Google for a description of what this means and can't find anything to explain it. I rang Amazon and the person I spoke to couldn't tell me what it meant either. Can anyone tell me, please?

Since it appears all over the Amazon website and many others, always associated with Logitech products, I'm guessing that they use packaging provided by a firm called WER Occident! This is probably the (far) eastern subsidiary of the W E Roberts group of companies.0

Yes, I saw that it only seems to be connected with Logitech. If this is what it's for, why in heaven's name would they want to state who they use for their packaging?0 -
Perhaps WER have got such a hold over Logitech that they must state, as part of the contract, that WER provides their packaging?
OR
I have no idea!0 -
maybe it's to explain why the product arrives in plain brown cardboard or a jiffi bag rather than fancy printed packaging such as you'd see on the shelves of shops? Would be interesting to have the OP report on the packaging to confirm (or not)Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0

I took yours and zenmaster's advice and went for the lower spec Logitech C110. zenmaster got it for £8 from Tesco, but they're selling it online for £14.97 now, the best price I could find was £9.99 (free delivery) from Amazon. Many thanks for your help.0
