Phrishing attempt?

I've just receieved the following. Is this a phishing attempt? I think it is but not certain. (Actually, I've just notice the incomplete sentence so I suspect it is a fake).

Well done, you soon spotted that one.
  • Pearl123 - were you really uncertain about this? There are just too many clues for it to be anything but a fake. The inability to string a sentence together; the fact that they address you as "customer" - made worse by the insertion of an apostrophe in "customer's" - need I go on?

Even the American spelling of "unauthorised" should be enough of a clue without the rest.

Yes, Hungerdunger, I did briefly believe it was real. Probably due to panicking over the information in it and reading the text too quickly. I also have dyslexia which maybe does not help.
I'm grateful to those who confirmed it was a phrishing scam.

    Indeed - fluent Nigerian ;)
made worse by the insertion of an apostrophe in "customer's"
I wouldn't place too much reliance on that particular element as a giveaway. Plenty of native English-speakers can't cope with apostrophes, not just grocers - or should that be grocer's? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well done to pearl123 for being, rightly, suspicious.

Easy to spot it is fake:

1 - "Dear customer's". - not personalised and poor English.
2 - "We are contacting you in regards to your online banking Ownership" - more poor English
3 - "Our Security team has observed multiple logons on your online banking account, from different blacklisted IP's " - Jargon. A bank wouldnt use that
4 - "As a result of this. we compulsory this Authentication process for security reasons. Kindly verified your detail in the reference below in other to avoid services suspension." - Very poor English. Almost as if it has been run through a online translator first.
5- "your Co-operative Bank p.l.c against Unauthorized attempt. " - one of the biggest give aways in spam mails. American spelling rather than British.
6 - not signed off by a real person.
7 - all banks tell you that they will not send such things out by email
