Hi Folks
Help and advice needed!
Robert Dias have got Lemark X1270 three in one printer for £29.95 is it a load of old tat or worth the money?
I only want it for Blk printing and copying, nothing fancy.
Many thanks.

Once had a conversation with a shop owner/friend who told me that lexmark are notorious for cheap printers but the cost of ink for them is astronomical to the point of being cheaper to buy a new printer so i would suggest checking out ink prices before buying.0

Hi,
I got a new printer from Epson just the other day in Currys (or comet?) for £40. Although this may seem like a lot, the replacement ink cartridges are individual and cost £7.99 each from Epson or £10.99 for the full set of 4 from ebay. I thought this was the best part about the printer.
But when I got it home and started printing it is abolutely fab! Prints quite fast for an inkjet and nice clear ink with no 'setting up' and 'test prints' nonsense.
Hope this helps:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin0 -
My personal preference always was for the Canon printers as the carts were (a) cheap as chips especially if unbranded and (b) non-chipped and easily refillable.
Beware of any of the new-gen Canon inkjets with the #40 and 41 replacement carts as they ARE chipped and at the moment are extremely expensive.
If you can find a pixma ip2000 anywhere (new-ish but already discontinued) grab it - they are fast(ish), cheap to run, nicely designed, and were one of the few budget printers to include 2 paper feed trays0 -
Look on www.ebuyer.co.uk.
At the mo they have a range of the Canon Pixma.
( I swear by my MP 760)
Cheap to run and brill output.
The Pixma180 Multi is only about £45 I think.
Go Here. for the whole range and see the price of the ink, too,.

Last week I bought a HP Photosmart C3180 (Printer, scanner, memory card reader copier and stand alone copier) in Staples (Cardiff Bay) for £39.99 and I am well chuffed with it so far!
I had a lexmark once and ended up buying a new canon printer cos it was cheaper than buying lexmark cartridges.
