this is getting out of hand, had letters every other day adding extra to gas/elec bills for the 'convenience' of one of their reps/agents coming to visit, which i've never seen, or to threaten disconnection etc..
this is despite me repeatedly writing to them, asking to get onto lowest tariff (that WAS available!), showing budget etc -
I am long unemployed, making ongoing nominal payments.. the stress of this, and possibility of no heat / hot water / lighting over winter isnt helping..
getting bils together for gas trust grant application, but i was wondering if i could get 3rd party to bear down on them, to ease off / reverse these ridiculous add-ons..
They are no incentive for me to pay up, as i HAVE NO EXTRA MONEY!

Do you already have an agreed payment plan that has not been adhered to?
If you are unable to pay off your arrears then your best option is to voluntarily agree to the fitment of a PPM before they fit it anyway and charge you for the privilege.
If you want to switch tariffs within BG then you need to ring them, or you can do it online very easily. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

As macman said if you have no payment plan in place the follow up and charges will continue. Your should either contact the benefit agency to go on FuelDirect where the money will get taken direct from your benefits or alternatively ask for a PrePayment meter to be fitted.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

You will be charged for pre-disconnection visits, as per your terms. Its normaly around £23.50, best way to avoid is call the rep and ask for a pre-pay meter.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Until you get a aknock at the door as they sold your debt on for peanuts and then rank up chargers on top of the orginal bill and if you dont pay get bad credit rating. They catch up on you eventually why not be proactive and sort it outJackofalltradez wrote: »
