I'm thinking of changing my home phone and broadband to O2. Is it possible to do this and keep the same landline number?

The only way to find out is to ask them (O2). VM can easily take ported number (in most cases) but there can be issues the other way around - especially if a true 'cable' line. Phone them as a potential customer and ask, then you'll have something concrete to go on!0

What have 02 quoted you for the provision of a new line?No free lunch, and no free laptop

they're asking for £43 and say you can't keep the same number as it would be classed as a new line installation(?)0

I changed from Virgin Media 2 weeks ago. I initially enquired with O2 who said they cannot port numbers in from Virgin Media. After alot of calls, I ended up going with BT as it seemed my only option in keeping my landline number.
02 did state, once I was out of contract with BT they could then port the number. I guess it's the price you pay for number porting
