I wrapped a large childs Kitchen last year. It had taps sticking out and everything - I just wrapped the sticky out bits first.

I used a couple of rolls of cheap xmas paper and loads of cellotape.
A Teddy Bear no matter how big wouldn't be a problem after that, in fact, when my son was 10 I wrapped a bike in Christmas paper too.

Just have a go, (it doesn't matter if it is not perfect) then tie a big ribbon around it.
  • You could have the teddy behind the other presents 'holding' them, I'm sure it wouldn't take away the Christmas fun.

I think if you do want to wrap it then you could just wrap around its shape so it is obviously a teddy (I would have lioved that as a child), start with the sticky out bits like the legs and ears and and tape up as needed. If you cut big squares it will make it easier to shape, lots of sticky tape and patience.

  • put it in the garage or shed or cupboard, with a big bow around it and make up clues like a treasure hunt for her to find it.

That's what my son did last year for the engagement ring he bought his girlfriend (didn't hide it in the shed or garage though).
He used small christmas cards and put a clue in one that led to the next card with a clue and so on until the final clue led her to where my son was standing with the ring. She loved it.
