Hello,
Being delegated the task of calculating pay slips for my partners small business. Accountant did do it - cannot afford one now.
For P7 Total Gross pay £900 yet
Earnings for NI £898
To date Gross pay £1911
Earnings for NI £1552
Anyone now why earnings for NI are lower than Gross Pay??. Need to finish these payslips otherwise no tea for me!!

I cannot help but have you looked at the tables/calculators for NIC/TAX on the HMRC website?
They may help you work your head around it.

It also may be worth posting on the Tax Board or Employment Board0 -
I should know this but ive got serious brain fog today,is it because of the n.i. allowance i.e. you dont pay n.i on the first £100 a weeks gross pay?0
