hi all looking a bit of help ,sent a claim for refund of ppi and got "2" letters back today saying they are going to refund me X amount but the "2 letters" have different amounts and its about £200 of a difference between the "2 amounts", what do I do, as I dont want to sign the 2 and get in to trouble as to claiming twice as the 2 letters are the same in every way but for the amount of money or do I just sign for the larger amount and say nothing or what else can I do

I'd suggest you question it now, to find out which is correct. If you sign the form with the wrong amount that may delay payment if they have to write to you again (or they might just go ahead and pay the lower figure by mistake even if it's wrong).
Double check the letters to make sure they are for the same loan/card. (Sometimes if a loan has been rolled over into a new loan at some stage they'll refund the PPI due on both separately).0 -
the 2 letters are the same in every way apart from the 2 amounts and you can only phone them between 9 & 5 and I work on the road 7 to 6 and cant phone a 0845 number0

In that case, I'd be inclined to sign both forms and send them back with a covering letter saying you're unsure which is correct. That way there can be no suggestion that you're trying to claim twice.0
