Cancelling Asda Breakdown insurance....

..as I just got the renewal through and it's gone up by about £20, ok maybe not bank breaking for many but I haven't had any work for some time now so every penny and all that.

Still covered 'til 18th December anyway but I was surprised they didn't even try to retain my custom, absolutely no attempt at all.

Hey well there you go, their loss will probably be someone else's gain.

My daughter has just had her renewal from Tesco breakdown, it has gone up by £27.50, she has a relatively new car and has never called them out. They made no effort to try and retain her either! However, trying to find comparable cover for less is proving a complicated process, with all the various discounts/cashback deals etc around so maybe that's why!

She can upgrade her bank account for half-price as a staff benefit to one which offers offers breakdown cover and travel insurance as part of the account package, so going to have a look there and see if the level of cover can be upgraded cost effectively.
