Credit rating- refunded late payment

Hi
My credit card provider charged me a late payment fee of £12 because I had not paid off my balance of £1.55 for the month.

They refunded the charge but I'd like to know if I will still have a 'black mark' against my credit score. Does anyone know?

How long after the due date did you end up paying?

This will almost certainly be recorded as a late / missed payment then I'm afraid. If you'd caught it sooner, you might've got off without a late mark but 30+ days? Not a chance unfortunately.

The good news is one single missed payment amidst an otherwise perfectly clean credit history isn't really going to make a blind bit of difference especially if you don't apply for anything for at least six months after missing the payment

Thanks for your response. I am in the process of applying for a mortgage so I'm hoping that this won't adversely affect it.
