Good afternoon
I have only just come online so forgive my lateness to the thread!
Today I am visiting family (twice) and will be fed at both places so I won't have to buy anything for my lunch or evening meal. This will cost me a little in petrol, but it's not much.
Got some Asda vouchers, so I'm filling up the car using those and buying stuff for sunday lunch with them as well (trying to keep the entire sunday lunch for 4 under £10).
I got a rather pathetic £7.10 from a mystery shopping company today, so have logged onto online banking and paid that straight to my credit card company. As it was my quarterly bonus at the beginning of the month I have now paid off over £400 on this particular card this month.
The only thing I have bought since Wednesday evening is 1 x 2 litre bottle of diet coke - feel like I'm on a roll! Going to Asda in a min, so obviously will be spending then, but only with vouchers (I earn these like commission at work) not cash. By spending a tenner now on Sunday lunch it will also save money that I could easily spend eating out tomorrow. Feeling quite motivated at the moment!0 -
Hi everyone
I went out with MIL and SIL today - was lovely - MIL paid for our lunch out too and gave me petrol money so that was really great of her
Tomorrow we're going to start packing :j Looks like we are moving house on 9th December :T so not long at all xxx
Hope everyone's hangovers have subsidedOr is it time to do it all again?!
I'm in on my own tonight - watching TV after I tidy round and sort some stuff out - might do a bit of knitting.
BTW, I was reading an essay about happiness (random free stuff you can get on the Kindle...) and there was a bit about how expanding your social circle and meeting lots of different groups of friends is one way to feel happier - I thought about you lot, not that we've ever met, but it is nice to have a whole big group of people to relate to and I love this forum set-up where we can all just pop in and out whenever we feel like it :grouphug:

Welshwoofer - I agree coke is needed as part of the hangover cure, coke & bacon! I think we need an up to date piccy of your dog as he is such a cutie in your avatar! Is he a bichon frise?
La Escocesa - Yay! Congrats on the hosue move, must be great to finally have a date, but lots of work packing everything up ready in time! I agree I love being able to chat about things on here without worrying what you'll think as you're all such a cool bunch of people! Plus you understand, a lot of my friends are still living at home etc & would be bored senseless if I started talking about debt!
KJP - Just bear in mind what features you want from it, for example I take a lot of photos when I go to gigs so optical zoom is important to me, but if you're only taking pics down the pub then that shouldn't be an issue for you. Oh & it's not all about MP, my camera is only 12.1MP but it's still better than half the cameras out there, & mine's about 4 years old! A good way to get an idea of good cameras out there is to check out some reviews online. I can recommend Canon but it's worth checking out other brands too.:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57
