But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Hello all!
Poorly hungover ones- hope you feel better soon - nothing worse is there? I always think a big bag of salt and vinegar crisps and a bottle of coke does the trick - something to do with replacing the electrolytes with the salt, sugar and caffeine from the coke, all to wash down two industrial strenth paracetamol! (Can you tell I've done this before:rotfl:)
Had a busy morning so far...- Walked the dog
- Taken dog for haircut (looks like a startled cloud now!)
- Hoovered and dusted whole house
- Been to Mr T for groceries and used £10 giftcard and spent just £12 in cash:T
- Took bagels out of the freezer for weekend lunches
- One load of washing - drying naturally now
- Done the bins
- Check bank done
- Do a mini budget for the 2 weeks to payday done
- Make a nice fresh tea - had such a busy week that my food has been quite rubbish
and I'm feeling the effects done, veggie fajitas with raspberries for dessert, can feel the vitamins already!
- Do about 2 hours of school work - can't decide between writing new lessons and marking exams - the excitement of it all;) nope, decided to have a rare complete day off and feel better for it
- Stay in tonight and watch a DVD and the Jungle done, watched Intolerable Cruelty off the Sky Planner, mindless pap but just what I needed
- Walk dog again to show off his new look done twice

Hello :j
Thanks for starting the thread LPP, and hope the hung over ones feel better soon. I feel your pain - I had one last Saturday, and felt yuck all day. It is such a shame to waste a whole day at home when I get so few, I made sure to stick to 1 1/2 glasses of wine (one and a half that is not eleven - it looks like that :rotfl:) last night, and will do the same again tonight if I decide to have any.
Today I have:
Put away the clothes that were literally all over the bedroom
Watered and tidied up houseplants - poor things only get looked at once a week, which rules out most varieties :rotfl:
Done a load of washing and pegged it outside
Cleaned out chickens, who rewarded me with 2 eggs:D
Walked to shops with my trolley - saves petrol, keeps one car off the roads, free exercise and stops me buying too much - what is not to like? I went to Waitrose today as I wanted some things they don't have in Aldis. Difference in the prices though
HM meals from stores - just leftovers for me today as OH is out with a pal today and his wife is cooking them dinner
Still to do:
Make some scones to use up the clotted cream I bought the other day. I hae some HM raspberry jam somewhere too (there goes my diet again )
Another load of washing
Walk to the dry cleaners to pick up my summer mac - costs a fortune to have it cleaned but it is a posh make (from a CS I hasten to add!) and if I get it cleaned once a year it keeps it looking smart. I don't know, or care, how old it is, as it is fine even for posh work meetings in London
Walk dog - might kill 2 birds with 1 stone so to speak and take her to the dry cleaners.
Dusting - OH hoovered yesterday but does not 'do' dusting
Light woodburner and curl up in front of it this evening with a book or magazine0 -
- Taken dog for haircut (looks like a startled cloud now!)
WelshWoofer - I have such a funny image in my head! I take it it's the pooch in your avatar - looks very cheeky!House Fund: £2,800/£20,000 - 14%
