I have informed tax credits that i will be using childcare and rang them yesterday to update my claim . How quick are tax credits at sorting things out ? am i likely to be getting any money this coming week ? as i will have to pay my first weeks childcare nxt friday ?
I have another question whilst i was on the phone i told them that i want my tax credits payed into a different bank account so gave them my new bank account details ( not sure whether this will slow things down for me )
The lady said to make me aware that because i am changing my bank details the sytem may generate a one off payment that i may have to pay back at the end of the year . Whats all that about and is this likely to happen ??

Hi
I started a claim for childcare a few weeks ago, I got a later within about a week letting me know the updated amounts due to me. The payment dates are the same though, it just goes in with the working tax credits (hopefully tuesday!).
I can't answer your other questions though, sorry!0
