look on the upside... at least 10 days really isn't as long as 10 years (freudian slip? lol) so that's something at leastDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0 -
OMG its amazing how many of us are the same! My Dh is none to pleased with MY seat at the computer (it has my name on it LOL) and i'm sure my retelling of all the stories people tell on OS doesn't always go down so well.
I tell everybody about this site, and I mean everybody - when I give presents - people have the cheek to say did I get it free!! as if!!!(little do they know!ssshh!)
I think its great sitting at my comp, laughing out loud and loving reading about everybody elses lives. Long may it continue till we're all really, really, old with dozens of great grandkids and our virtual extended family on here xxIf you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -
Update on the 10 days my MIL stayed (she has been, and gone on to stay with family in Cyprus). We were driving her round this very small island (doesn't take long!) when the car broke down - so she bought us a new (well 2 1/2 years old) Picasso! It's far more efficient than our old car (it's diesel) and is brilliant. So she's not such a bad old stick!0

It's like some sort of all day coffee morning on here!!!!"We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0

Well she was going to help us out with a mortgage - give us some money for a deposit - but unfortunately what she could help us out with wouldn't have helped us buy anywhere over here, so she bought the car instead!:j0 -
I agree I love this site, I spend all day on here reading up on different things. My OHs eyes glaze over now if I mention the internet as he knows what is coming next. He has only one question though, when am I actually going to put all this good advice to practice?0
