Hi All,
Just looking for a few ideas on how best to save my money, at the moment my salary goes into my current account £2500ish and i just put 500 quid away a month into an ing savings account, i was wondering if this was better elsewhere as i never touch the money and am reasonably well paid 55k+. I also have a sharesave scheme maturing on the 1st of february which will see me inherit about 13k, 5 of which will dissapear on a new bathroom.
Any ideas greatfully received.:o

Many options
2 x £250 into regular savings accounts
- and / or -
£333.33 a month into an investment ISA

Just "Upgrade" from ING to ICICI or IceSave and stick your money in there.
Lots of thing you can do really.
You are a higher rate tax payer, so minimising your tax should be a priority.0 -
Do you want to save or invest? How long do you want to tie the money away for?
If save go for ISA and/or Yorkshire BS Regular Saver.
If invest post your risk profile.0 -
Have a look at LTSB 8% Monthly saver . Initial deposit of £500 and max £250 by s/o each month. The interest is fixed for 2 years and there have been several discussions about it on these boards.0
