toshiba sattelite going to hit the wall any minute..................

Here I am again lol :p

Toshiba sattelite blooming bios beeps!!!!! When i restart my laptop it has really random bios beeps (change every time) but when i turn it off and start it again it starts fine with no beeps? Ive turned all bios settings to default, checked all devices in device manager and nothing flagged up, removed and cleaned RAM and not downloaded anything dodgy or done updates in the last day or 2? Anyone any ideas?

Oh BTW when i click on any desktop icon it automatically goes open the bottom desktop icon? Also tried using a plug in mouse but the same thing happens?

Cheers

Okay, start at the beginning...... take out laptop battery, hold down power button for 30-40 secs, boot up off mains power without refitting the battery. What does it do ??

Assuming it boots ok, is the time/date correct in the system tray?? If not, your BIOS battery is probably goosed, so the mobo isn't storing the BIOS settings.
run hijack this and post the log,
then download, update and run quick scan with malyarebytes and post the log...

This will probably be a hardware issue, quite possibly a dodgy RAM stick on the way out, but you gotta start somewhere :)

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

    What? Cheers? LOL. Sorry hehe.

I meant when i try to click on a shortcut icon on my desktop the mouse will only hover over the bottom icons and will not go to the top of the page. I hope that makes sense

    had any spillages?

try safe mode, F8 at boot

reseat the keyboard and touchpad connector

or disable the touchpad in the bios, and then try with usb mouse.

    scan for malware

no spillages and done the safe mode thing.
the keyboard and desktop and mouse works fine after ten mins. even with a external mouse plugged in the same problems are there. disabled the touchpad and still the same. downloaded malwarebytes and some good anti virus. even rebooted windows with installation disc. tried different memory modules no different.
thanks for the ideas so far. please keep them coming. coz i dont think a size twelve foot is the ideal solution:mad::beer:
