Hi just a quicky,
Me and my partner need access to his HSBC savings account ASAP, however his passsbook savings book whatever they call them these days has gone missing...
He doesnt have a passport or driving license, therefore no photo ID.
How can we get access to the money?
he is home late so cant call HSBC so I was hoping someone here may have experience of this..
Many Thanks

Passbook? Are you sure it's HSBC? I don't think they've used passbooks for about 100 years. Well, maybe not literally, but not for Donkey's years, anyway. He might have a paying in book, or a cash machine card.
Sorry, but no proof of having the account = no access to it. If he's no i.d. how did he open the account in the first place?0 -
Yes sorry it must be a paying in book, the box its in has gone missing, this box also contains his out of date passporrt and out of date provisional, this was the I'd used at the time.
I was hoping we could go into the bank with name address details and show some proof of address and cash cards etc, but I'm guessing it won't be as easy as that.
He has got a current account with the same bank so hopefully they can link the two accounts together there.
If not we will have to wait for some updated photo I'd but that won't help with the money we need right now! Eeeek
Thanks for your reply.BACK and READY..... waiting on Royal Mail!!!0
