New Record for Cheapest Car Insurance??

Hi

I've just got car insurance for my partner's car. She has 6 years no claims, and she wanted to ensure a 1992 Clio.

On moneysupermarket.com, the cheapest quote was the Post Office (premier) at £118.

BUT this also had a £50 cashback, so actually £58.

PLUS I then checked Quidco, and they had a £30 cashback scheme.

SO,.... £28 for a year, fully comp.:rotfl:

Anyone beat that?:T :j

Are you really qualified to write a book on maths? Suggest you recheck your calculations using a calculator this time! £118.00 less £50.00 = ???
  • I'm trying to get cover for my crusty old festa and I can't get it down less than £170 comp!! Even tried tpff and it was only a tenner less.

    oh look my 200th post.
Nothing to see here, move along.

    I think Op means

£50.00 cash back from Postoffice - Plus we'll give you £50 cash back when you take out our car insurance!*

and Quidco £30.00- £30 for each genuine car insurance policy

    NO! OP means £118 - £50 = £68! NOT £118 - £50 = £58!

No - the mistake is in the subtraction.
    £118 = £50 does not equal £58.

The policy is £38 after the cashbacks.

Edit - beat me to in Paul.

    I'm hopeless with numbers.

    [kidding]

    sorry, meant £108.... [looks sheepish]

    well done astra girl!

However, here's a joke for you:

What is the shortest unit of time?
It is the time between making a mistake on a post

and someone else pointing it out.
