Are energy bills just a big scam?

Let's be honest I'm sure they could heat our homes from free these daysL I'm a big fan of David icke and I believe what he says is true when he says these sort of companies Re controlled by the new world order/illuminati.
Not just oil companies, but drug companies, banks etc, does anyone agree? To me if I feel I'm being ripped of I usually am
It's certainly a strange world we live in when one week you get a letter telling you the bills are all going up due to the rising costs the suppliers face and then the very next week you read of huge profits by the very same companies.
It's like they deliberately rub salt into the wound and take immense pleasure from it.
It’s going to be a very cold winter for a lot of families this year, but as long as profit is made who cares....

I know what your getting at, I always thought he was a bit mental but there more I read about him the more he makes sense. The fact that there is forums like this and they need to exist suggests to me there's a lot of truth in what he says.0
