anyone know where I can get a cheap one?
I've found one for £19.99 + p&p here http://www.threedoubleyou.com/rfmodulators.htm
but dont know whether thats a good price or not.
It's for sending things like the cable tv round the house, as the video recorder used to do that job.
:)
TIA

So why not use a video recorder to perform this function? Even a non working one will still act as a modulator for you. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
We havent really got the space for a non working unit, so thought about another way round it.
The space occupied by the vid will be used for a pvr probably, which cant do this function, .......or can it?!!

I was looking for an RF modulator not long ago, until I realised that VCRs have one built in and are much cheaper esp second hand ones. I would imagine that the quality isn't as good though.0

I think, from memory, that's quite an expensive one isn't it?
We may consider it, tho, as we tried a cheapy one from Maplins, which went back a week later as it kept freezing*** Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly ***

well, it was expensive - got 4 and 5 sstar reviews at £250 but you can now get it for under £100. One thing though is that it has quite a small hard drive, about 20 hours worth, sometimes I butt up against its limits so it may annoy you. I can live with it though.
