Mega HELP needed.
I got busy this morning moving pics and music from C to D on my laptop.
Clicked and dragged "My docs" to D, then highlighted and deleted al the stuff in the C version of my docs - and then found that the stuff in D My Docs had also gone. BU@@ER.
Some is in the recycle bin, but some was "too large etc" AND HAS BEEN PERMANENTLY DELETED.
How can I get this stuff back????

Cheers for the above.
espresso - cheers for the link to the other thread.
Should it be ok to download programs into the computer (I know it's a bit chicken and egg - I was purely curious) ?0 -
Of the list of programs, restoration is the smallest exe, it will fit on a floppy or flashdrive, so can be run from there, which minimizes the risk of overwriting existing data area's.

No, as albertross says, run it from a disk.
That's what I meant about the above comment regarding not using the PC the files were deleted from. Every single disk write risks overwriting one of the deleted files!0 -
Thanks all - why is nothing simple.
Here I am at work - with no mem stick - and the laptop doesn't take floppies. And that's assuming that the system settings here will allow me to save to a mem stick etc (I know it doesn't allow installing software).
