Trade-in PS3?

Brought in August by son aged 11:o from Gamestation after trading in stuff, has hardly been played, he now has decided he wants a Blackberry! Who has the best price for trade in? Gamestation, Cex etc??(This is after me and others who helped me, nearly taking a week to set it up via router !):eek:Kids! I know maybe best to sell it via amazon etc.. but have not got the time or patience, and Sainsburys have it for £157.99 at the mo, if he could get £130......

A ps3 slim 120gb slim boxed cash price at cex is £124, depends on your model and condition, the southampton cex needs you to book in if wanting cash,I dont know about others around the country...

You have to ring them or pop into store ask when they will have cash available , then book a slot to take it in, I dont know about gamestation or game but this seems to be how cex works, make sure you have all cables and adaptors and some id with you also..:o

I wouldn't be so sure....check their website, and take the middle price as the best guide.

I got £30-odd quid more for a Wii+games at Gamestation than would have done at Cex

OP - Have you checked out the costs for a Blackberry functioning Sim and data charges. Not sure about PAYG options, but worth checking out. A ordinary sim doesn't have BB Messenger on. Also ensure you get insurance for the BBerry as they will break if dropped! DG

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • Hello,

Check all the websites of the game retailers. They usually tell you on there how much they will pay for a standard condition Ps3. There's a lot of competition with these companies to get pre owned stock of consoles around Christmas, so shop around and you'll get a decent price for one. I saw HMV were advertising for people to trade in Ps3's. So they must need them! Check them out :)

    Hope this helps :)

if you go at a busy time of day expect to wait an hour so while they test it with various games in it to make sure its 100% before they hand over the cash
