Posture Kneeling Chair

Hi all! I'm trying to find the cheapest posture kneeling chair out there, as I've got bad lower back problems at the moment. I thought Argos used to sell them, but can't find it in the new catalogue. Staples have them for £50 online, not sure if it's the same instore. I'd much prefer to buy it instore so I can try it first, but beggars and choosers and all that.
Does anyone have any experience of these chairs? Has anyone seen any of these chairs for less than £50 anywhere on the high street? Help...
Thanks

Hi I got one of these from a freecycler, and to be honest its giving me hip pain, maybe I havent adjusted it properly but its the chair i sit at the computer which is shared by a six foot two hubby (I'm 5'4) I thought it was impossible to slouch with these chairs but thats not the case. It is best to try one out, and get the shop to adjust it for you. Good luck. And yes the lady in the avatar is me

I bought one years ago - long before they were popular, and whenever my back plays up, out it comes. I love it. It takes some getting used to and you have to adjust you weight properly and get it set at the right height, but can help loads. But no good if you have dodgy knees. Can;t help on finding one though - sorryNewbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. I bought one about 5 years ago at Office World or Staples (can't remember). It's used every day for hours (it's the computer chair). We all love it. Never have back pain.0

LOL! I'd second the knees thing!!! I loved it but I was in agony with knee problems about 2 weeks later. I strongly recommend getting out the discipline and sitting straight on your chair, with your back off the rest, with both feet firmly on the floor. It's the same posture for your back without the problems on the knees!0

Me too! I now sit in a 'sit up and beg' plastic Ikea chair, officially for garden use, but with surprisingly good lumbar support, and feet squarely on the floor. It cost I think £8, and it's probably about now that they get 'summer furniture' in stock.0 -
Thanks for the advice guys. I definitely need to at least try one now I've read the positive reviews. Now, if I can get hold of one at a MSE price.... I'm still looking, but have had no advance on £50 squid.

That Ikea chair sounds like a good interim solution, any item names on the bottom of the chair, or a piccy or description. My Ikea is ok, but I dread trying to describe this to a member of staff in case I just get a very blank look. Is it much the same as the original posture stool that everyone is talking about?OGB - Queen of Bling baby...:A0 -
