I can't believe that today, after all my writing we had a major breakthrough!!!!
I had made her a wee cheese omelette when she got in from school as she is always hungry then. She ate some of it then went to the loo and the cat got the rest!! Anyway, I was making pasta with a tomato, red pepper and sweetcorn sauce for DD1 and me. Little one was going to get her usual plain with cheese. I mixed in the sauce with ours (not loads of sauce) and asked her to taste a bit to see if it was cooked. She didn't look properly at it, and ate a piece! So, then she realised and asked if there was sauce on it. I said "Yes, wasn't it lovely?". She agreed that it was OK and that she would eat some for her dinner!
I got her to spoon some onto her plate and grate her own cheese on the top. Of course, then she refused to eat it. So I just said that was fine, but there was no other dinner. After about half an hour, she decided she was hungry and I said that if she ate her pasta with the sauce, then she could have her cake from school. Would you believe, she sat and ate it!!!! After every bit, she turned round and gave me a big smile, lots of rubbing her tummy and saying mmmmmm!
Maybe it could be that I had just had a go at her big sister who was being a stroppy teen, and she knew I was upset. Whatever the reason, it was a big breakthrough! It was lovely that she was so pleased with herself and could see how pleased I was with her too.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D
