carpet hell!!!

redecorating and carpeting the house: bedroom - stairs, landing& lounge, so not a small order - 2 weeks ago ordered a carpet from allied carpets after being told it was in stock - yesterday after spending the ENTIRE WEEKEND clearing out the house and removing the old carpet, got a call from them at 10am saying they werent coming.
not only were they not coming on the agreed fitting day - the carpet wouldnt be available for another 3 weeks!!!! :rotfl: well my OH went completely mental and disappeared down to the store - turns out that it wasnt in stock in the first place and hadnt even been made!
UNBELIEVABLE!
so cancelled the whole thing and gone somewhere else.
i am amazed that companies can do things like this to customers and get away with it.
Anyway just off to compose a letter to their MD.....
