But they are being competitive - with other bricks and mortar retailers.

Companies that primarily trade on the internet can offer lower prices all the time, as they have less overheads.

I've often price matched internet prices, but typically I end up making between 5% and 0% margin. If that's all we were constantly selling them at, with an expensive showroom to pay for, we'd be out of business by the end of the month...
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

I know this is an old thread but Redhill Appliances ceased trading today. See message at http://www.redhillappliances.co.uk which was added this afternoon. (At lunchtime there was a message about their phone system being out of order.)

I've heard they have disappeared with a substantial amount of customer's money. Hopefully they have paid on credit cards.

I bought a washing machine off them a good few years back. It's still going strong.....unlike Redhill :(
  • I drove past them today whilst going to the re-opening of Express Doors new showroom a few units a way. A bit of a shock to read this even though I've never used them (go to RDO). Bad times with all these administrations.

We basically bought all our miele kitchen appliances through them about 18 months ago, were definitely the cheapest at the time. Our local kitchen dealer who we got the kitchen from couldn't match them. What a shame they have gone into administration.

Wow, feel as if I've had a lucky escape. Have just had a new kitchen installed & had seriously considered getting an integrated washer from Redhill Appliances. In the end though I went with another independent who delivered from stock 2 days after order was placed.

Feel sad for anybody who has paid for an appliance with Redhill & now won't be receiving it or a refund of monies paid.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
