It is doing my tree in as it blocks everything beneath it making it more or less impossible to navigate.

Hello,
Unfortunately, the only way to get rid of this on Chrome is to re-code the browser! Having looked at other questions answered about this thats all I can find. Seems a lot of people are annoyed about this.
From another forum:
"Basically you need to block the translate_c.js file but the URL to it is randomly generated and different every time, though the filename is not!
So add that rule and no longer do you have text obscured by dumb floating rubbish!"
