EDF and Meter readers

Looks like my meters have been read again yesterday by external readers. I only switched to EDF in July and they apparently read the gas meter in August which triggered the infamous bill/DD recalculation!!
Nothing appearing on MyAccount yet - in the experience of longer serving (or should that be suffering!) EDF customers does an external meter reading always trigger the production of a bill?? (and presumably a DD recalculation?):(

As far as i can work any reading that is submitted either by a meter reader or a customer triggers a bill as long as they are a month apart.

Parents had their meters read in August but EDF haven't sent them a bill all year. Just what 80 years olds need! (NOT) Myaccount says they are something like £600+ in credit. Looks like you don't get any history from the previous myaccount website , just new bills (eventually).

I've just had two emails overnight from EDF -one saying I have a new message and one telling me that a new bill is ready to view on MyAccount - which I can't because the web site is down til Monday!
BUT that is two bills in 3 months!!! AND I suspect the 2nd message tells me that they have changed the DD again!!:(
Looks like the meter readers are on a 3 monthly cycle in my area so suppose that means every three months for the next 2.5 years (fixed tariff til March 2014) I'm going to be phoning EDF C/Services to argue for my DD to be put back where it was!!!!!!

As expected - looked at my bill this morning - £273 in credit after bill BUT EDF want to increase the electricity portion of the DD by well over 30%!!!
Like many people my electricity usage only varies slightly over the year as I heat and cook with gas so any argument about Winter usage being much higher goes out the window!!
The payment for electricity they want to take, equates to an annual usage of 8500 kWh !!!!!!!!!
    Phone call @ 8:00am I think!!

EDIT - Got straight thru at 8:00 - DD restored to previous value without argument.....I'll have to check MyAccount later...but the advisor did say that I should keep monitoring my usage as if my balance went more than £150 in the red they would look to take the full amount in one go!! She got flustered when I asked where this figure came from, especially when she told me this applied after the annual review - I've only been a customer for ~ 4 months.
