Peugeot 307/Golf/New Fiesta/Focus?

Hi

We are after a car say no more than 4 years old, OH was hoping for a Golf but too expensive & high on the insurance so then he wanted a Focus about 05 plate but it is too expensive.

I quite like the Peugeot 307 & have seen one for just under 6k, 53 plate.

Quite like the new Fiesta & it is affordable.

Whatever we get has to be 5 door & no bigger than 1.6

Anyone have any opinions on any of the above?

I have had 5 golf's now, working my way up the various engines! Though I started at 2.0. The 1.6's are ok, but nothing special on a golf. Seems a tiny bit underpowered to be honest, bit asthmatic!

The 307 is a good choice and one I will probably go for next when I grown up and want something more sensible. The fiesta and focus will drop quite heavily in depriciation but nothing really wrong with the cars.

What about a Seat Leon should get that a little cheaper than a Golf.

I've got a 307 sw 1.6hdi 110bhp 54plate £6400 with full tank of fuel and 6 months tax it's got high miles but that nothing to a diesel engine that's been fully serviced, cheap to run diesel wise but can be expensive when they go wrong. Have a look at the reviews on autotrader or whichcar,

martin had a link to a website called lemon or peach check out the car you want on that site.
