How PPC's treat their employees

Probably not news for most on here but thought many would be interested to read this post over on the job seeking board https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3634011

  • Thanks, quite enlightening and not surprising.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • thanks for that but I have to say I'm unsurprised.

every so I often I call by a local auction house (furniture) and come across the same old faces of dealers looking for a steal. every one of them has a sleazy, sly, shifty, creepy uncle look about them. a right bunch of lovejoys without the charisma and enough to make the skin crawl.

this is how I imagine a PPC boss looks, together with a bullying, manipulative personality disorder and a world view that the people around them - be it employee, motorist or the general public - exist for one reason only: to be cheated and spoken to/about in a voice with a built-in sneer.

in another life they'd work as papparazzi, chasing celebs and trying to open car doors to get that 'up skirt' shot before selling it to the daily mail.

it's a shame that the PPC 'industry' has never been subjected to the same level of scrutiny the popular press is now suffering at the hands of lord leveson over at the phone-hacking enquiry. if leveson devoted just a tenth of his time, the PPC's would be out of business within weeks. permanently.

You know I really honestly couldn't of put that any better myself. You're pretty much bang on with your description.

The council parking bosses are no better, they're all ex coppers who are still desperately clinging on to their bit power over the motorist.

I doubt they would work as paparazzi because despite what we are "TOLD" it requires a very high skill level to succeed in that game combined with a high level of intelligence to plan things, with the best at it earning £300,000 PA upwards.
The diffrence between paparazzi and ppc is the people paparazzi pick on want to be picked on or they would be nothing without them.

Oooh, look at me the big man... "He won't like MY reply.."

You're no hero pal, I think they're scum too but I don't hold the wrong people responsible for it like you. FYI no-one likes PPCs and that includes the workers you hold responsible. Maybe I should email your post to some of my ex colleagues? - I'm sure it'll give them motivation to stay instead of trying to escape (and yes, many are desperate to get out).

Why do you think I left?

YOU liked scamming people when "the money was good" but when the boots on the other foot you didn't like it and when you got treated like innocent car drivers do with intimidation you threw your toys out of the pram and come on here crying about it. Tough.

Still having trouble reading? - Ring learn direct I'm sure they'll help.

For the final time I was not involved in 'scamming' anyone. Drop your attitude pal.
