Selling - disclosing letter from neighbour

As others have said, that's no dispute. It wasn't even a dispute in the first place, just a written request which you acted upon. He formalised it a bit more than making the request during a chat over the garden fence but that's all.
Anyway, it was five years ago and you've had no issues either way since then so it's more than time-expired.0 -

I've just had a look back and it was actually the beginning of 2008. Does that make a difference? Seemed ages ago but clearly not.0 -
I will be asking the solicitor tomorrow but I couldn't sleep with this hanging over me. There wasn't a dispute so I've answered no to that question. The next question is about have you received a letter which I have to answer yes to. I feel physically sick with worry over this. Thank you for your comments so far. I do appreciate them.
Really you need to calm down.
It's a letter that I assume they put through the door rather than sent my post - you could even show it the buyers and say 'i work shifts and the neighbour is so considerate he put this through the door rather than wake me up'
Or buy the neighbour a nice Christmas pressie, take it round now and then you can tell the buyers 'he's a great bloke, I buy him christmas presents'0 -
I feel much better now... I hope he stays nice to the buyers. I'm going to say no on the form. I do send all my neighbours Christmas cards so I'm going to not worry and put it out of my mind. Thank you all for your help.0

For what it's worth, and one more opinion, I agree with all posts here, and you are doing the right thing putting it out of your mind

Forget this!
If you mention it you will open a can of worms because lawyers and mortgage lenders will assume that since it has been mentioned it must be a problem.
It isn't.0
