Thank you Tink! It's not been easy over Christmas and New Year but I'm lucky that I got a Christmas bonus which bumped up my total. I need to be paying a ridiculous amount each month to hit my target of being debt free by Christmas this year so full steam ahead!!! xxx

  • Well done charlyze2!

You could always rope in a second debt (that Very C at £189 looks promising!) to make it an uber challenge and pay 2 debts in 100 days :)

    Thanks InsertWittyName

I'am glad i managed it. I usually start challenges but then don't always finish them.

The Very C BNPL at £189 is not due until October so i will prob leave that till closer to time. I'am going to concentrate on the Barclaycard J now as that is currently the only debt (apart from the Loan and O/D) that is interest bearing.
  • Makes sense charlyze2, good luck!

    Another £10 today from me.

I finally got my act together and took my bits of broken gold jewellery etc to the Manchester Gold Company, cos it's in the city centre and has had fairly good reviews (I'd previously sent it off to one of those companies that send you a free envelope and they'd offered me £107.65!! Since then I found 2 little butterfly bits that must have once belonged to earrings but I don't believe they boosted the value by nearly £150). I was expecting around £200 but got £255 so I ran straight across Piccadilly Gardens and paid it into my bank then, when I got home, transferred it over to the credit card.
I've also just made £6.41 on Amazon so I now 'only' owe £542.58 on this card.

Sadly I got hit with £18.36 interest so the total I need to pay off has increased a bit. Can you update me, please, Amara? I'm now at £1,139.20 of £1,681.78 (no. 8).

What can I sell on Ebay/Gumtree/Preloved/Ebid today, I wonder?...
