1. How Do I get windows media player controls to show on the tool bar when minimised? I've somehow turned the option off and can't find where to turn back on again.
2. How can I get sound from my laptop onto a plasma tv for presentations? The TV has S-Video, Scart, VGA and phono (? red white and yellow) connections but laptop only has VGA and S-Video neither of which seem to transmit sound to the screen.
Thanks
M

1) Right click on the blue toolbar, hover over "Toolbars" and click Windows Media Player so there's a tick by it
2) Not sure, but my laptop has a COM port (rectangular with pin holes in it) which I use for powerpoint presentations.... don't have any fancy technology at home so can't really help there apologiesThat, is an excellent question...0 -
1 ) Mini Player mode allows you to minimize the Player to the Windows taskbar, while still having access to playback controls and the ability to view visualizations and information about the currently playing item.
- Right-click an open area of the Windows taskbar (such as below the system clock), point to Toolbars, and then click Windows Media Player.
This turns on the feature and only needs to be performed once. A check mark appears next to Windows Media Player to indicate that it is turned on. To switch to mini Player mode in the future, simply click the Minimize button in the Player.
Rich people save then spend.
Poor people spend then save what's left.0 - Right-click an open area of the Windows taskbar (such as below the system clock), point to Toolbars, and then click Windows Media Player.

You need a cable which has a stereo plug (two black bands around it) which fits into your earphone socket, and a red and white(or black) phono plugs on the other end.
Sorry I cannot be technical on the names of these but I know it should work, a similar cable would have connected a walkman to a stereo system.
Cheers

you need a VGA cable or an S lead for your plasma and a separate lead for the audio from the laptop to the audio in on the screen.Nothing to see here, move along.0
